Lately, I have made a valiant effort to reduce my hairspray intake. I'm giving back to the environment. Me and Al Gore. So, because of my efforts, my hair is more free flowing. It's ridiculous and I can't stand it. It's too unpredictable. And, I know this is a shocking revelation....I don't do unpredictable. Ever.
When I was in high school, I had the best bangs ever. No kidding. I would rat them really high to form just the perfect nest. I would spray them solid and there they would stay. For a week. When the wind blew, the nest moved as one unit. I remember my mom telling me that one day I would wake up to find my massive bangs sitting beside me on the pillow. Like a rat. Ouch. I think that one scarred my self esteem a wee bit.
I have sometimes wondered what it's like for most people. Is there really anyone out there that doesn't have a testimony of hairspray? Oh snap. That would be sad. Honestly, I can't imagine that anyone like that even exists. Why live if you're just going to let your hair look ugly? Sheesh. That's dumb. Better take a hard look at your priorities.
After my experience today, I'm not sure if I will continue with my decreased hairspray usage. I'm going to pray about it and then I'll decide. I'll keep you posted...

I loved the bumper bangs days. My hair was ALWAYS perfect. Unlike now...And your hair is always perfect.
I have hairspray phases in my life... including a time when big bangs were a must. I use it sometimes now but I must admit I usually go for the free flowing hair over the Lazy Town look.
I had THE BIGGEST claw bangs ever in high school. I can't imagine life without hairspray!!
Hmmm...The environment might not be worth the stress :) Don't we need sanity?! Maybe use pump spray instead of aerosol :) There's gotta be a way around that whole thing!
You've probably added 500 points to your carbon emissions. You could keep the regular lightbulbs for another year. Look at you! Saving the planet one hair at a time.
MY bangs were like taco shells....spray and flatten with palms of hands and then spray again, kind of like a tent or upside down V. I actually had people try and copy them. I am going to have to let Denise know that your bangs moved......
u do know someone that doesn't have hairspray, or even a blowdryer, in their house (don't forget that tidbit when you do come to visit) really, you should try it one day...very liberating. it's the one thing in my life i don't try to control ;) miss u bunches!!!
I am one of those CRAZY people...no hairspray for years! The wind is a bugger some days and i never know what i will look like at days end but i save the hairspray for my girlies---they wear enough for all of us! keep up the funny posts! i love to hear about the happenings of your fun family!
