It's quite freaky just to wait, when you know what is coming. It's even more freaky when you head out to the store. Hysteria. Shelves are cleared of canned goods and bread. Gas stations start running out of gas. Duct tape and plastic to cover your windows in case they shatter. Plan on losing power, for an unspecified amount of time.
We are directly in the storm's path. They are predicting 70-100 mph winds. I really hope that doesn't mess up my hair....

We are thinking of you. I say make a quick run to Utah-we could love to see you. As if you could get anywhere on a Houston freeway. Be safe and hope your peanut M&M's sustain through the storm.
We have sure been praying for your family since we heard about Ike. Hunkering down twice in one summer- that's once too many, at least! Please keep us posted on how you all are! Or you could just let one person in our dear family know, and word will travel fast! :) We love you!! We are keeping you in our constant thoughts and prayers!!
-Candy and family
I have to agree I think you should just come back to Utah -you can come and live with us. It might be a little squishy but Ian would love the girls. Hope that all will be well you are in our thoughts and prayers!
Hey Friend - Hope you guys weather the storm. Not sure if by food storage they meant a year supply of frosting and coke. On the other hand, when everyone is tired of grinding wheat you could probably make a pretty penny selling it!! Caffiene and sugar - it's worth a lot!
We'll be praying for you.
yes, you are welcome to come back to draper...no hurricanes there...well, unless makell counts ;) you know we'll even 'give up' the house for you...just come back so we won't have to worry ourself silly over you. i would say that we are praying for y'all 2...but u know us heathens don't have much say up there. love & miss u bunches!!!!!
Everytime I hear that IKE is closing in on Houston, I picture you locked in your cellar eating M&M's. At least that is what I hope you are doing! Come stay with us if you need a safe house. Only a 1500 mile drive! Bring the M&M's
What were you thinking moving to Texas!? Those twigly little trees couldn't make a dent it you huge mansion. I hope this doesn't mess up the 12th B-day party plans!
Lisa, You are in our thoughts and prayers. I talked to Tyler and he said that you had a generator and were okay. Hoping the power is back on soon.
