This is a day of deep reverence for the joy that can be found in a cookie. After eating 20 Thin Mints, truth can be found in there as well. I thought about making everyone bow before the boxes, but decided against it. We offered a prayer of thanksgiving instead. Calories and fat grams are a mighty thing to be grateful for. The more you eat, the wiser you become. I'm serious. It's an old Chinese proverb. So is this one--Happiness is always covered in chocolate.

There needs to be a support group for thin mint eaters. I ate 2 boxes over the weekend. Peanut butter patties are my next favorite. Oh such joy!
Lisa,
(Thank you for making me smile and/or laugh out loud with every story you post!)
Reading your blog with a sugar cookie in one had and a diet coke in the other is my ultimate heavenly experience!!!
I do not see the Samoas however I am still jealous.
Waiting for mine to arrive still. I always buy enough so that if I eat one box a month they should last me the entire year. I've never made it a year. I've never even made it 2 months. I can't resist!! This year as portion control I only ordered 4 boxes. Only four!!! I'm starting to panic inside when I think about it. Only four....until they sell them again next year? I'm not sure I'll live through it.
Not one stinkin' girl scout came to my door this year. I don't get it. I'm a loyal supporter. BTW - where are the Samoa's?
Funny. We got ours today as well, however the kids and I gave up sweets for Lent. (you know us crazy Catholics!!). Matt thinks he sould be allowed to eat the girl scout cookies because they were order before Lent, and it is not his fault that they were delivered after Lent started. Have to say I like his logic!
